I just wanted to take a second today to talk about Paris. My heart goes out to all those affected by yesterday’s tragedy – it breaks my heart to think of the lives that suddenly ended. To picture brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, answering their phones in dread, only to have their worst fears confirmed. I suppose it’s true, then, that there’s an end to everything. For every beginning there is an end. For every birth there is a death.
In a society that constantly looks towards the future, it’s easy to take our days for granted and be swept away by the monotonousness of everyday life. In reality though, the only thing we can truly be sure of is today. So forget waiting for the weekend, the New Year or your grandmother’s birthday. Let’s take advantage each and every moment we are given, and use these ticking seconds to cultivate a better self, a better world and to hug our loved ones a little tighter.
Until next time,
