The Click

Two years ago, I fell in love with summer. At the time, nothing else mattered. After living in a state of grey for so long, there was nothing I dreaded more than the cold.

And then…came the click.

Yesterday evening, something in me changed. We drove an hour out to the nearest city, and suddenly the cold of my seatbelt wasn’t a promise of darker days, but rather, charcoal clouds and pumpkin patches and little kids wrapped up like tiny, little tofu balls. How can you hate on itty bitty, humanized balls of tofu? That’s the thing, you can’t.
It’s nice, seeing this sudden shift in perspective. When I step outside, instead of feeling my skin pucker up like a shrivelled piece of melon, the cold air fills me with jittery anticipation for warm scarves and long shoot days on my mini doc.
I guess this is my life now. My motto of “love summer, hate everything else” has now turned into “love fall, hate everything that isn’t pumpkin spice and golden leaves and frilly skirts that have me feeling like T-Swift circa 2012.” It’s a mouthful, I know, but it had to happen. Guess you can say, I’m just “creeping it real” this Halloween season!!!
What are your thoughts on fall? Are you slathering pumpkin pulp to your face in an attempt to soak up the spooky season? Or are you gagging at the mere mention of all things orange? Let me know down below!

Stay spooky,
