OOTD: Palm Tree Dreaming

Hello all! Now that I’ve officially recovered from an intensive case of jet lag (we’re talking 4AM wake up calls), it feels a bit stifling to be back in this concrete city. Though I definitely won’t be flying across the seven seas anytime soon, this palm leaf printed top transports me back to endless days of sand, coconut water and massaging grandma’s back. A prerequisite for any family visit.

To keep the outfit from becoming too beach bum-y, I threw on my platforms and skort for added structure. Super easy, super comfy, super super super. And yes, indeed I went shopping that day. But as per usual, I didn’t spend a single penny (still in denial that my copper friend has been phased out). I have a thing for getting dressed up and going window shopping. It’s called the broke girl diet.

Processed with VSCOcam with f2 presetThe sky was blazing bright that evening. Funny how the sun sets every night, yet I never take the time to simply look up.

Oh! I love getting dressed up to go window shopping too. Or anywhere really. It’s just the feeling of having somewhere to go, a place to be, instead of just milling around the house on netflix. 🙂
I really love your skort. And your purse. It’s such an adorable blue.

Thank you! Can I just say how much I love your comments? They’re always so thoughtful and leave me smiling each time! Agreed though, there’s nothing like fresh air and natural sunlight…because sadly the dim lighting of our laptop screens doesn’t provide us with that vitamin D.
